Zitate

Ambrose Redmoon Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.
Dr. Jane Goodall I think perhaps the most important things we could learn from chimpanzees is they're very good at reconciliation after conflict. We don't seem to be very good at that. We hold grudges. We fight wars. We have conflict all over the world today. So if we were a little bit better just making things up without continuing to fight about them or hold grudges.
Jack Canfield Everything you want is on the other side of fear.
Kevin Foss But OCD is not a thought problem — it’s a feeling problem. In other words, if the thought did not have the accompanying painful feeling, you would ignore the thought, call it “weird,” and simply move on without compulsions or a second thought1.
Roald Dahl The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
Viktor Frankl Those who have a ‘why’ to live, can bear with almost any ‘how’2.

Gedichte

David Herbert Lawrence – Self Pity I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.
Guillaume Apollinaire

“Come to the edge,” he said.

“We can’t, we’re afraid!” they responded.

“Come to the edge,” he said.

“We can’t, we will fall!” they responded.

“Come to the edge,” he said.

And so they came.

And he pushed them.

And they flew.

Embrace your inner bison

and run toward the storm

don’t run

don’t avoid it

don’t hope it goes away

take it head on

Filmtexte

Milton’s Secret Let your heart make sense what your mind could not figure out
Evan Almighty If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

Songtexte

The Rose – Bette Midler

It’s the heart afraid of breaking

That never learns to dance

It’s the dream afraid of waking

That never takes the chance

It’s the one who won’t be taken

Who cannot seem to give

And the soul afraid of dyin’

That never learns to live
